Jan is an effective, informed and engaged HR professional with over 13 years of demonstrable HR experience spanning both the public and private sector.
Jan has a proven track record of HR success within the education sector including FE, maintained school and academy settings in both Waltham Forest and Hackney.
Currently Head of Human Resources at Clapton Girls’ Academy, Jan manages all aspects of the employee life cycle from start to finish. Jan ensures the HR standards at Clapton remain consistently high and works closely with SLT on the academy’s strategic HR portfolio.

Paul Ebblewhite

specialism: Assessment Data Management

  • 9 years’ experience of data management in schools.
  • Experience of setting up new assessment systems and rolling out to staff and parents.
  • Extensive experience of setting up monitoring and tracking systems.
  • Knowledge of national school accountability measures.
  • Experience of writing whole school timetables using NOVA T-6 including SIMS set ups for new academic year and timetable promotions.
  • A strong analytical mind with problem solving experience and a good overview of school systems.
  • Experience of census returns and ensuring accuracy of post 16 learning aims.
  • Experience of set up external software’s with assessment focus including 4matrix and ALPS.
  • Has provided support to schools in Hackney in setting up whole school assessment monitoring systems.
  • Has worked with schools nationally in setting up tracking systems to flag under achievers and inform intervention focus.
  • Has provided training for the assessment and data portion of NPQML and NPQSL courses.
  • NASBM national school support staff awards - 2013 administrator of the year – distinction award.
  • Regularly provides training for NQTs and new staff members to inform of school assessment processes and expectations.
  • Regularly attends national conferences to keep abreast of updates to accountability nationally and share good practice with a wide network of schools.
  • Qualified to MSc level in Analytical Chemistry, had previously worked in the semiconductor industry for 10 years.

  • Experience in using social media as a tool for promotion within the local community, wider professional sphere and for prospective and existing families.
  • Expertise in managing social media platforms, content creation and devising promotional campaigns.
  • Extensive experience in marketing design (both print and digital media) e.g. banners, posters, prospectuses, brochures, online artwork etc.
  • Experience in web design and website management.
  • Tone of voice and copywriting.
  • Experience in setting up and managing parental e-newsletters.
  • Experience in setting up and managing online event registration and promotion.
  • First class honours degree from University of the Arts London, previously worked in creative industries with 5 years’ experience in graphic design.
