'The forum was extremely useful and gave me the chance to meet other science leads in Hackney… A very joined up approach. I thoroughly enjoyed the simple, easily resourced and fun experiments.Shenaz, Primary Science Subject Lead

Primary Debating Workshops and Competition

In association with The Noisy Classroom

The HTSA is joining forces with Noisy Classroom, a training organisation dedicated to promoting and supporting the use of speaking and listening in the classroom, to run a series of debating events for primary school students alongside CPD for primary school teachers. Students will have the chance to take part in Noisy Classroom debating workshops held at Clapton Girls’ Academy with support from Year 7 students. These workshops will culminate in a debating competition and celebration. Schools can also use this as an opportunity to develop how oracy is used by their staff by holding CPD run by Noisy Classroom.

  • Option 1:  Competition entrance = £100 per school

  • Option 2: ½ day training programme for targeted Year 5s at each school + competition entrance = £250 per school

  • Option 3: 1 day training programme for targeted Year 5s at each school + CPD session for teacher + competition entrance = £400 per school
